Nowadays, fast changing technology makes the business in a dynamic environment with high risks but possibly high profits. For high-tech ventures to survive and progress, they have to be innovative in products or processes by aggressively collecting external resources and carefully allocating internal resources. Building external relationships can provide many resources, such as knowledge, new technology, or even financial aids.

The entrepreneurship includes innovativeness, risk taking and proactiveness. The second construct, external network, is the external linkages of the company that are consultants, alliances, industry associations or institutes, financial institutions, research institutions, and government. Eighty-two companies from computer manufacturing industry and IC manufacturing industry responded our questionnaire survey. This paper will state the statistic results of the survey as well as the interpretation and management implication.
