IAMOT 2001 Report

IAMOT 2001 The 10th International Conference on Management of Technology was held March 19 - 22 2001 at Moevenpick Hotel in Lausanne, Switzerland.

The main conference theme was Technology Management - Growth through Business Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

The conference contained dedicated days as follows, The Venturing for Growth Day
The Entrepreneurship and Knowledge Day
The Entrepreneurship and Industrial Day
The Entrepreneurship and Developing World Day,
and contained 21 program tracks. The highlights of the conference have been sent out on Internet and have been seen at the IAMOT web site www.iamot.org/iamot 2001.

The program plenary sessions became extremely interesting because of heavy involvement from the international scientific community as well as from the industrial world and especially from the top ten corporations of Switzerland such as Nestle, Bobst, Sulzer, ABB, Kudelski, Nokia, Swissair, Moevenpick International and for the Developing World Day from The United Nations/Unido.

IAMOT 2001 had 292 participants (out of max. 318 for the premises) from 39 countries.

Abstracts and papers have been double reviewed by 25 scientists and practitioners and their assistants. 283 contributions were approved and then confirmed by the authors and finally 242 presentations were carried out at the conference.

The conference was arranged by IAMOT The International Association for Management of Technology and SIA The Swiss Association of Engineers and Architects in cooperation with EPFL The Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne, IMD The International Management Development Institute, University of Miami USA, The Ecole Polytechnique Montreal Canada, Dev State of Vaud Switzerland and The City of Lausanne.
